• The Former of SIM Technology Group

1986 - The former of SIM Technology Group - Sunrise Technology is founded in Hong Kong with core business of distributing electronic components.

1991 - Sunrise Technology became the exclusive representative of many renowned international electronic components providers such as NSC, EPSON, INTEL, ADI and Hyundai. The company established sales office in the main cities of China and its customers covered most of the large-and-medium-sized electronic communications enterprisers all over China.

2000 - Sunrise Technology's electronic distribution business reached sales of US$200M by FY2000 and was the No. 1 component distributor in China.

2001 - Avnet Inc. (Nasdaq listed) acquired Sunrise Technology's electronic component distribution business.

• SIM Technology-

1993 - The first subsidiary company of SIM Technology Group - Shanghai Sunrise was established in Shanghai, which focused on designing and manufacturing of Program Controlled Switches.

1996 - Shanghai Sunrise represent ADI and TTPCom and started engaging in China Handset design activities.

1998 - Shanghai Sunrise began to design and manufacture LCD module.

2002 - The first research and development subsidiary company of SIM Technology Group - Shanghai Simcom was set up in Shanghai.

2003 -
SIM Technology entered the wireless communication modules market in the first quarter.

SIM Technology released first mobile handset solution in the third quarter.

2004 - SIM Technology’s business developed rapidly and its revenue achieved US$200M. The group’s subsidiary - Shanghai Simcom was awarded "2004 Fastest Growing Enterprise in China Mobile Communication terminal market” by ChinaCenter for Information Industry Development (“CCID”).

2005 -
SIM Technology Group officially listed its shares on the main board of HKSE on June 30.

SIM Technology Group was recognized as one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2005 Program and one of the Deloitte’ China Technology Fast 50 China Program by the world renowned accounting firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in November.
